Tracey Rowledge

Some friends and I volunteered to help Tracey Rowledge create her piece ‘Surface’ for the Jerwood gallery this year. I found the experience really interesting and I enjoyed working with her to create the work. I found the overall piece fascinating, the soft glass like reflection that is made by simply drawing graphite on a wall was intriguing and the mystical reflection worked extremely well on the large scale she was working on. It reminded me of a different world trapped behind the wall which was just visible and a confused blur.
